Hey legends!

Thanks so much for choosing Oberon Lane to bring the music to your big day. We’re all about keeping things fun, easy, and fabulous around here, so this is just a little guide to make sure we’re all on the same page, keep the good vibes flowing, and help everything run smoothly.

Let’s dive in!

Payments and cancellations

  • A 30% non-refundable deposit locks in your dream artists. Until then, they’re free to roam (or get snatched up by someone else!)

  • By paying this deposit, you confirm your booking and agree to our Terms & Conditions.

  • We’ll then send through your full invoice - but don’t worry, the remaining balance isn’t due until 4 weeks before your wedding.

Package hours

  • Our full day Acoustic + DJ package covers up to 8 hours (think 3pm–11 pm).

  • Running late or want to party longer?

  • After 11 pm = $150 per 30 mins per artist (eg two musicians = 2 artists)

  • After midnight = $200 per 15 mins per artist Any wedding at a location over 2 hours from Sydney will incur a further accommodation and travel surcharge of $400 per person

What our artists need

  • If we’re playing 3+ hours, please feed us (simple food + drinks = perfect).

  • DJs need a table (1.5m min) + power.

  • If a guest gets rowdy or aggressive, the music stops. Safety first, no exceptions and no refunds.

Sound and setups

  • Your booking includes 3 setups (ceremony, canapés, reception). Need more? We can do that - just chat to us!

  • We don’t supply mics/sound for your celebrant. Most are self-sufficient pros, but if it’s a friend/family member marrying you, make sure they’re sorted with their own gear.

  • Our artists can’t perform completely unplugged - a small amp is essential for sound quality (and vocal health!).

Parking and access

  • Please make parking easy + free, or cover the cost.

  • Smooth loading access makes everyone happy!

Artists briefs

  • Due 14 days out from your big day.

  • Got a wedding coordinator? Fabulous! But even if they send a 27-tab Excel sheet, they still need to fill out our artist brief. Why? Because it includes the music-specific magic we need.

DJ lightening

Our DJs keep things simple and classy with fairy lights. Want full club lighting? That will need to be hired from a lighting hire pro (your venue is usually the best contact to pro’s they work with)

MC Services

Want us to handle the MC too? Add $500 + GST to your package and we’ve got you covered.

Song learning + DJ vibes

  • You get 3 wedding day songs learned live. Think 2 in your ceremony and one in canapes!

  • First dance is not played live, this is played via DJ so they can open the dancefloor straight after with a banger DJs may gently decline explicit requests unless you pre-approve them (we’re looking at you, WAP 👀)

  • You can totally send a playlist or a vibe guide we love a bit of direction!

Rehearsals

Our artists don’t attend, they’re super seasoned and will nail it on the day, no stress!

Contact and office hours

  • Weekends = wedding time! Replies might be a little slower but we’ll be back ASAP.

  • Please don’t contact your artist directly, we take care of everything behind the scenes so they can focus on what they do best: bringing the magic on your big day

  • Musicians = amazing on stage. Admin? Not so much. By keeping everything in one tidy communication chain, nothing gets missed, and it’s smooth sailing all the way. We’ve got you!

What if something wild happens?

In rare cases, an artist may need to pull out due to illness or an emergency. BUT DON’T WORRY we’ll find a top-quality replacement before you even hear about it.

  • By paying this deposit, you confirm your booking and agree to our Terms & Conditions. We’ll then send through your full invoice — but don’t worry, the remaining balance isn’t due until 4 weeks before your wedding.

  • If you cancel your booking at any time, the 30% deposit is non-refundable. Cancellations made within 4 weeks of the event date require payment of the full booking fee, as we are unlikely to secure a replacement booking at such short notice.

  • Please note: Where possible, and subject to availability, bookings may be transferred to a new date. If a new date cannot be accommodated, the original deposit remains non-refundable.
